This semesters first dinner meeting was held at Hotel Continental on Tuesday 11.10 with SPE Distinguished Lecturer Dr Paul Francis of Shlumberger giving us his talk about “Automated Managed Pressure Drilling – A Present and Future Game Changer”. This was an interesting subject and you can find the presentation at SPE Oslo section main page.
This evening we were about 6-7 students attending with a total of 52 people. The evening was a great success and we all enjoyed a great meal with nicely cooked lam and a great desssert! After the dinner some of the people went to the pub called Paddys were the nice evening continued.
This week we are a group of 6 students from the board attending the OTD Stavanger 19-20 Oktober. www.offshoredays.com
And don`t forget about the two company presentations coming up: Lundin Petroleum 10. November at 16.30 and FMC Technologies 16. November at 18.00 in Aud 1 at Department of Geosciences, food and refreshments will be served! Hopefully we will see a lot of students attending both events!
